Our Story

Marshellys Global Services stands apart by bringing the heart of Latin America into the UK recruitment and education space. Founded by Marlen Cabezas, a biologist, educator, and migrant who has personally navigated the struggles of finding stable employment in both Colombia and the UK, Marshellys is built on lived experience and cultural values.

Marlen knows what it means to be a young Colombian professional—full of potential, yet locked out of opportunities due to systemic barriers. In Latin America, especially in underserved communities, unemployment is highest where poverty is deepest. As a teacher in Colombia, Marlen faced years of hardship seeking a permanent role in a system controlled by government bureaucracy. She understands firsthand the frustration and emotional toll of fighting for dignified work.

But in Latin culture, we do not fight for ourselves alone.

It is in the DNA of Latin American people to care—for our own, for others, for our families. Every job gained is not just for personal benefit, but for the wellbeing of the entire family. Latin youth, especially in health and care careers, grow up looking after siblings, elders, and communities with natural compassion, love, and commitment.
